Quickstart

This guide walks you through showing your first piece of content on a screen using Xignage. You'll register a screen, add media, build a playlist, and publish it.

1. Create an account​

Sign up at xignage.io/register and verify your email address. Your first team is created automatically when you sign up.

2. Register a screen​

  1. Install the Xignage player app on your display device.
  2. Open the app. It displays a short pairing code.
  3. In the Xignage dashboard, go to Screens and click Link Device.
  4. Enter the pairing code shown on the screen.
  5. Once linked, the screen appears under Screens with an online status.

3. Upload media​

  1. Go to Media in the sidebar.
  2. Click Upload and choose an image or video.
  3. Thumbnails and metadata (dimensions, duration, file size) are generated automatically.

4. Create a playlist​

  1. Go to Playlists and click New Playlist.
  2. Give it a name.
  3. Add the media you just uploaded and drag to reorder.
  4. Set a duration per item if needed.

5. Publish to your screen​

  1. Open your screen and assign the playlist to a zone (or to the whole screen if you're not using a custom layout).
  2. Click Publish Changes. The screen picks up the new configuration within a minute.
