Screen Sync
Screen Sync coordinates playback timing across multiple screens that display the same content. A primary screen drives the timing and member screens play in lockstep with it — useful when several displays in a venue should switch content or play in unison, but they aren't arranged as a single canvas (for that, use a multiscreen display).
What it does
- Synchronised playback across multiple screens.
- A primary screen drives the timing.
- Member screens play in lockstep with the primary.
- Overlay triggers and playlist updates can be pushed across synced screens together.
- Scheduled synced playlist updates change what's playing everywhere at once.
- Member screens report their readiness back in real time before playback begins.
Multiscreen displays vs. Screen Sync
| Multiscreen display | Screen Sync | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | One image across a video wall | Same content in sync on separate screens |
| Canvas | Shared virtual canvas | Independent screens |
| Use case | Video wall | Multiple displays around a venue playing together |
