Manage teams
A team is the primary unit of ownership in Xignage. All of your screens, media, creatives, playlists, and layouts belong to a team, and team members share access to that content. Your first team is created automatically when you sign up.
The organisation hierarchy
Tenant → Team → Site → User
- Tenant — a white-label reseller or partner organisation (top level).
- Team — a company or organisation within a tenant; owns the content.
- Site — a physical location within a team.
- User — a member of a team, with a role governing access.
Most day-to-day work happens at the team level. See Architecture for the full picture.
Create a team
- Open the team switcher in the top bar.
- Click New Team.
- Name the team. You become the team admin automatically.
Team settings
From Team Settings you can:
- Rename the team.
- Upload a team logo used in branding and emails.
- Configure team-wide preferences and default view mode.
- Set the team's locale/language.
Switch teams
If you belong to more than one team (or site), use the team/site switcher in the top bar to change context. Your dashboard and content update to reflect the selected team.
Branding
Branding cascades down the hierarchy: a team without its own logo or colour configuration inherits the tenant's branding, which in turn falls back to platform defaults. Email sent from the platform uses the tenant or team name as the sender display name, with the logo and brand colour applied.
Next steps
- Add sites for your physical locations.
- Invite members to collaborate.
- Review roles & permissions.
